The San Diego Padres have hired longtime Los Angeles Dodgers amateur scouting director Logan White to work in their front office, according to sources.

It is not clear which position White will fill with San Diego.

It's not too surprising to see White leave Los Angeles. When the Dodgers hired Andrew Friedman to be their president of baseball operations the feeling was that he'd want to bring in his own people.

Friedman now has vacancies at general manager, amateur scouting director and farm director.
