The Minnesota Twins have begun to look for a replacement for longtime manager Ron Gardenhire.

Minnesota has asked for and received permission to speak with Oakland Athletics bench coach Chip Hale, who played for the Twins.

Buck Showalter also told reporters that he expects the Twins to interview Baltimore Orioles bench coach John Russell after the playoffs.

As previously reported, the Twins have met several times with Paul Molitor about the position. They also interviewed Doug Mientkiewicz last week.
