The Boston Red Sox aren't happy with Will Middlebrooks' refusal to commit to playing to winter ball.

Asked last weekend in Baltimore if there was an update on Middlebrooks going to winter ball, John Farrell said tersely. "Nothing's changed."

Middlebrooks has hit .191/.256/.265 with 2 home runs in 234 plate appearances this season.
