Hector Sanchez might miss the remainder of the season after suffering a second concussion in a matter of weeks.

The San Francisco Giants catcher suffered an initial concussion July 25, when he took a foul tip from Adrian Gonzalez off his mask against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The San Jose Mercury News reports that Sanchez was wearing a new mask when he took another foul tip off the mask during a rehab game for Triple-A Fresno on Saturday.

"There has to be (that concern) with this being his second one, but we'll know in the next few days after we see how he responds and the progress he makes," Bruce Bochy said. "You have to think of the player's well-being and what's right. This is going to take some time with Hector."
