Jayson Werth is facing a misdemeanor reckless driving charge after being pulled over July 6 for going 105 mph in a 55 mph zone.

The incident took place in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Werth originally had a hearing scheduled for this past Friday, but it has been continued to Nov. 12.

"The Washington Nationals have been in communication with right fielder Jayson Werth regarding this situation for multiple weeks," a team spokesperson said in a statement. "Jayson is cooperating with the authorities. As it is an ongoing legal matter, the team has no further comment."
