Darwin Barney was recalled from Triple-A on Sunday morning to replace Hanley Ramirez, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right oblique strain, retroactive to Saturday.

Barney was acquired in a trade with the Cubs on July 28 and has been at Triple-A Albuquerque brushing up on shortstop and third base.
