Dan Jennings was hospitalized after being hit in the head by a line drive on Thursday night.

Jennings, who came on in relief for the Miami Marlins in the seventh inning, retired two batters before he was struck by a liner off the bat of Jordy Mercer of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He momentarily stumbled before going to his knees after the play.

The Marlins announced after the game that a CT scan on Jennings was negative. He was diagnosed with a concussion and was kept in a hospital overnight for observation.
