Mike Mussina's agent expects to begin contract negotiations with the New York Yankees very soon.

"We expect to begin talks in the near future regarding his contract, and we're hopeful that we'll be able to reach a deal where he'll remain a Yankee," Arn Tellem said in Manhattan yesterday. "But we really haven't even talked to them yet."
