The Arizona Diamondbacks have optioned Trevor Cahill to the Minor Leagues.

Cahill will throw for Single-A Advanced Visalia on Thursday night as he accepts the assignment and looks to stretch out as a starter once again.

Arizona secured optional waivers on Cahill earlier this week.
