In July, TBS made a deal with Major League Baseball in July to carry all division series games from 2007 to 2013. Yesterday, they announced that it had acquired one league championship series annually in those years. For the past few years, Fox and ESPN split the division series, and Fox carried all L.C.S. and World Series games. Starting next season, Fox will have one L.C.S. and the World Series, with TBS showing the rest of the postseason. ?This helps establish TBS as the cable home of the national pastime,? David Levy, the president of Turner Sports, said during a conference call. |
