The New York Yankees made a number of injury announcements during Sunday night's win over the Boston Red Sox.

Brian Roberts, who was out of the lineup, had an MRI earlier in the day because of lower-back soreness.

"The MRI came back clean, so [Roberts] is more day to day," Joe Girardi said. "[Cervelli], I don't anticipate it's going to be day to day. He's in an MRI tube right now."

Francisco Cervelli injured his right hamstring running to first base in the fourth inning, which led Carlos Beltran to play first base for the first time in his professional career.

Brian McCann is nursing a sore right index finger after taking a pitch off his hand while behind the plate in the top of the eighth inning.

Derek Jeter was also out of the lineup because of a sore quad. Girardi said before the game that he would use Jeter only in an emergency.
