Ryan Braun is experiencing problems with his right thumb once again and surgery is a real possibility.

The thumb started bothering Braun last May and he admitted Friday that it is numb due to a nerve issue, which has led to blisters because he can't tell how hard he's gripping the bat.

While surgery is a possibility, there is no guarantee it will work, which is one reason why Braun and the Milwaukee Brewers are holding off.

Braun is hitting .091/.167/.091 through 12 plate appearances this season.
