Despite Brian Cashman's denials, team sources have indicated that the Yanks will approach Rodriguez about waiving his no-trade clause and point out that a deal might be in both parties' best interests. The Angels seem to be a likely destination, especially since owner Arte Moreno has promised that his team will do something significant this offseason.

After Game 4, however, Rodriguez was stressing his commitment to New York.

"I certainly don't want to go anywhere," Rodriguez said. "I want to finish my career in New York. I've got three years left on my contract and I want to finish out.

"I hope to be back, 100%."
