While they understand it will be difficult, the Atlanta Braves will make every attempt to trade Dan Uggla and the $26 million remaining on his contract.

Teams that are unable to afford Robinson Cano, or that strike out in free agency, may become interested in trading for Uggla. Signing Omar Infante and dealing for Howie Kendrick could also be options at second base for some teams.

Since June 1, 2012, Uggla has hit just .185 with 33 home runs and a .673 OPS in 238 games.

Mark Bowman writes that the Braves might have to eat approximately 60% of Uggla's remaining salary.
