Alfonso Soriano hit his 45th home run of the season Saturday night to set the Nationals' single-season franchise record.

The homer came with one out on the fourth inning on a 1-2 pitch from Rockies starter Josh Fogg.

Soriano, having his first career 40-homer season, broke the previous record set by Vladimir Guerrero in 2000 when the team was still in Montreal.
