The Yankees have been quietly shopping Curtis Granderson since the beginning of November, according to a source, but nothing is imminent.

Granderson is in the final year of his contract after the Yankees exercised a $15 million option in late-October.

Trading him would open some payroll flexibility for the Yankees, who must now add a third baseman in addition to a right fielder and catcher.

"We could always think about doing stuff on guys we have under our control," Brian Cashman said "It’s not something I would talk about publicly."

Granderson leads the majors with 84 home runs over the past two seasons.
