Gregg Zaun hit his first homer since May 24. He added two singles, a run scored on an Aaron Hill double and a walk. "It's been a grind since I came back from the injury," Zaun said. "I ran into a couple of hits right when I came back. I just managed to grind out a few cheap hits here and there." Toronto's catcher had been struggling to find the same swing that had his season off to a good start before he suffered a concussion against the White Sox on May 8. While trying to break up a double play, Zaun collided with Chicago second baseman Pedro Lopez and had to be sent to the disabled list for two weeks. Zaun was batting .275 before the injury and has seen his average drop to .253 since coming back. "That happens," Zaun explained. "During the course of a long season you're going to get out of kilter and for me the injury -- two weeks off -- that might have been enough to get me far enough out of whack to where I wasn't getting any hits. I hadn't felt like myself at the plate in a long time."
