Morrison Likely To Have Season-Ending Surgery

Aug 11, 2012 9:55 AM EST

Logan Morrison will not play for the Marlins again this season.

After consulting with a surgeon, the outfielder will rest for three weeks before a reevaluation. At that point, Morrison anticipates undergoing surgery to repair a patella tendon tear in his right knee.

"He definitely think I'm going to need surgery," said Morrison, who had the same procedure last December. "Barring a miracle, I'll have to have surgery again."
