Mets Will Platoon Jason Bay, Won't Release Him With $16M Owed In 2013
Bay has one more season at $16 million remaining in his four-year, $66 million deal. "Certainly, there are times when it is appropriate to eat a contract," Alderson said. "There are other times when it is not. Jason Bay is not going anywhere, nor is his contract." Bay will predominately play against left-handed pitching during the rest of the season. |
