The Nationals have acquired Kurt Suzuki from the Athletics in exchange for minor leaguer David Freitas. The deal adds some catching depth for Washington, who have lost starter Wilson Ramos for the season. Suzuki became expendable in Oakland with the recent acquisition of George Kottaras from Milwaukee.
