Beckett Skips Session, Could Miss Start

Josh Beckett did not throw a bullpen session on Thursday, making it "more than likely" that he will miss his next start for the Red Sox.

Beckett left in the third inning of Tuesday's game against the Tigers after suffering back spasms.

"He's not throwing [Thursday] and I'd say it's questionable for him to throw [Friday], which would then make it questionable that he would make his next start, which means he won't make it, more than likely," Bobby Valentine said.

"He feels much improved today and had a great night's sleep. He's still a little limited in his motion."
