Cardinals Release Reliever Linebrink
He made the team's Opening Day roster and the 35-year-old remained with the Cardinals for nine weeks despite never making an appearance. Linebrink complained of shoulder discomfort the day after St. Louis placed him on its roster. He accompanied the team to Miami to open the season, but was placed on the disabled list when the Cardinals traveled to Milwaukee for its next series. |
