The Yankees are strongly denying a New York Daily News report that the team may soon be put up for sale by the Steinbrenner family. "The Yankees have never engaged in any sales talks with any banks," team president Randy Levine told Darren Rovell of CNBC. The team doesn't have to engage in talks with banks as others do because it has no debt. "I just read the Daily News story. It is complete fiction," Hal Steinbrenner said. "Me and my family have no intention to sell the Yankees and expect it to be in the family for years to come."
