With Adam Lind banished to the Minor Leagues, Vladimir Guerrero could be in line for a promotion sooner than expected. The Blue Jays recently signed Guerrero to a minor-league contract and he has impressed during workouts at the team's spring training site in Dunedin, Fla. Asked how the time frame for Guerrero's possible return to the majors has been affected by Lind's demotion, manager John Farrell said: "Quickly shortened up."
