The A's could breathe a sigh of relief Wednesday after tests revealed that the left hand of Yoenis Cespedes is only strained and not broken as originally feared. Cespedes was scratched about an hour before Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays after he injured the hand in batting practice. He might try to hit Thursday before the opener of a four-game series with the Tigers to determine his availability.
