Miguel Cabrera suffered a small fracture in the bone under his right eye after getting hit by a hard grounder on Monday.
Cabrera, who received eight stitches to close the bloody wound, said he will be re-evaluated in a week, but likely will be out at least a couple of weeks.
Tigers president and general manager Dave Dombrowski said Tuesday that Cabrera's vision is "perfect" and he won't go on the disabled list.
