According to George Steinbrenner, it's up to general manager Brian Cashman to make the Yankees better before the July 31 trading deadline.

"Brian Cashman is working hard to improve the team and the responsibility is in his hands," The Boss said in a statement delivered by PR guru Howard Rubenstein.
