The Twins have already named Carl Pavano their starter for Opening Day.

"Pavano's going to start the first one," manager Ron Gardenhire said on Tuesday night.

Pavano, 36, was 9-13 with a 4.30 ERA for the Twins in 2011.

Minnesota will open the 2012 season at Baltimore on April 6.
