The Yankees have picked up the option of Nick Swisher, which means, barring a trade, he will be the team's right fielder for at least one more season. Swisher, who turns 31 in November, will make $10.25M next season and then will be eligible to become a free agent. At this point, Swisher will remain the man, but the Yankees could look to trade him and then try to find another right fielder. The club also picked up Robinson Cano's option for next season. This was a formality as Cano is considered the team's best offensive player. Cano, who just turned 29, will make $14M this year and $15M next year. He can become a free agent after the 2013 season.
