Cubs Scouting Chief In Line For Extension

Cubs ownership continues to search for a new general manager, but they are also discussing contract extensions with key personnel members.

Tim Wilken, Chicago's scouting director, is scheduled to meet with ownership this weekend about an extension "similar" to the four-year extension farm director Oneri Fleita was recently given, according to a source.

Wilken, along with most of his staff, is signed through next year.
