Andre Ethier is said to be bothered by the financial troubles of the last-place Dodgers, according to several sources. Ethier alluded to his unhappiness in some spring training comments, which briefly created a stir. Just named to the All-Star team as an alternate, he has a .316 batting average with seven home runs and 42 RBIs. The Yankees are believed to like Ethier, but the outfielder appears to like the Red Sox more. "He's got his best buddy Dustin Pedroia telling him how great Boston is," a source said. "In Andre's mind, [the Dodgers situation] is embarrassing. And Boston has a different [vibe] right now." Ethier is in the last year of a two-year, $15.25 million contract but can't become a free agent until after the 2012 season.
