Tim Worrell was placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Giants. The pitcher has a pinched nerve in his neck and he wasn't able recover with rest.

The injury is unique because it doesn't hurt Worrell when he pitches but rather the day after, trainer Stan Conte said. The move is retroactive to Saturday.
