Yankees right-hander Tanyon Sturtze could miss the rest of the season after an MRI on his right shoulder yesterday revealed what the Yankees described as a "small" rotator-cuff tear.

Sturtze is being sent to noted sports orthopedist Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., for a second opinion, but the team is expecting the worst. If Sturtze opts for surgery, he is not expected to return this season.
