The Indians traded veteran right-hander Steve Karsay to the Oakland A's for cash considerations Sunday, two days after designating Danny Graves for assignment.

Karsay, 34, and Graves, 32, were signed to Minor League deals on the same December day this past winter, and both were given opportunities to win a big-league job with the Indians in Spring Training camp.
