The Red Sox have agreed to terms with right-hander Clay Buchholz on a four-year, $30.5 million contract extension.

The team confirmed the agreement, while a source confirmed the financial figures.

The extension includes two club options worth $13 million apiece that would potentially keep Buchholz under the club's control through the 2017 season.

He is 29-23 with a 3.77 ERA in his career.
