While preliminary tests by team trainers found nothing out of the ordinary, pitcher Gustavo Chacin will undergo an MRI exam this morning to see why he had to call it a night after three full innings and 72 pitches. Chacin said he first felt a tightness in his left elbow while warming up. He suspected it would dissipate as he continued throwing into the game, but the barking never stopped. "I'm thinking if I keep throwing maybe it's gone," said Chacin, who has no history of elbow problems. "This time, it's not." |
