Guthrie Hospitalized With Fever
Orioles pitcher Jeremy Guthrie was hospitalized Monday with a fever that could force him to miss his scheduled start Wednesday against the Tigers, according to an ESPN.com report.
Guthrie began running a fever on Sunday, and entered the hospital after his temperature increased.
"He's over there now trying to get a grip on what we're dealing with," Baltimore manager Buck Showalter said Monday, hours before the home opener against Detroit.
Guthrie remains the projected starter for Wednesday, although that would obviously change if his fever doesn't come down.
