The Giants' Moises Alou was placed on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a badly sprained right ankle, leaving San Francisco without their primary protection in the lineup for Barry Bonds. The Giants recalled catcher Justin Knoedler from Double-A Connecticut to take Alou's spot on the roster. The right fielder was carted off the field during Friday night's game against the Phillies after getting hurt while chasing a foul ball.
