A deal that would place the Atlanta Braves in the hands of Liberty Media looks so certain to one wannabe owner that he is already looking toward a future chance to buy the team. Lew Dickey Jr., head of Atlanta-based radio station operator Cumulus Media, said Tuesday that Liberty Media's possible acquisition of the Braves appears to be a "fait accompli." Nonetheless, Dickey predicts that Liberty Media won't keep the Braves forever, and his family might be among the bidders if the franchise goes on the block again. "This thing will be for sale again in the three- to five-year range, and we will be, I think, aggressive suitors at that point," Dickey said. |
