The Pirates have traded pitcher Joe Martinez to the Indians in exchange for a player to named, or cash considerations. Martinez, who was designated for assignment on December 21, posted a 3.12 ERA in five relief appearances with the Pirates in 2010 after being acquired from the Giants, along with outfielder John Bowker, in exchange for LHP Javier Lopez on July 31.
