The Angels have pulled their contract offer to third baseman Adrian Beltre off the table.
The deal was believed to be worth roughly $70 million over five years.
A major league source said Tuesday that "the door is still open" for Beltre to sign with the team.
Agent Scott Boras is believed to be seeking a six-year deal in the $90-million range for Beltre.
