Felipe Lopez rejected a waiver claim by the Padres because he didn't want to join a team this deep into a playoff race.

"I'd be like, 'OK, guys, good luck,'" said Lopez. "It wasn't anything about the Padres. When I win, I want to feel I'm part of it."
