Josh Hamilton said he sees no signs of improvement in his right ribcage three days after getting two injections of cortisone to help relieve the pain and discomfort. Hamilton has been sidelined since Sept. 4 with three bruised ribs on his right side. The Rangers were hoping that with the cortisone shots he would be able to start taking batting practice on Monday. Hamilton is concerned about being healthy for the playoffs. "Obviously, yeah," Hamilton said. "Obviously the best-case scenario is getting back and getting a good last week of the regular season ... get some at-bats. At the moment, I don't see that happening. "But with this injury, you can hurt one day and the next day feel tremendously better. I'm still waiting for that tremendous day to get better." |
