Jose Bautista hit his 47th home run of the season on Wednesday night, tying George Bell for the team's single-season record. "I feel very happy, and I think my prediction that Jose would do it finally was accomplished," Bell said from his home in the Dominican Republic. Bell set the mark during the 1987 season, when he also totaled 134 RBIs and 111 runs scored on the way to winning American League MVP honors. "I hope he hits 48 tonight (Wednesday) or tomorrow (Thursday) so we can have a new record-holder in Toronto from the Dominican Republic," Bell said.
