Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton played a light game of catch on Wednesday night, the first step towards a return to the field.

He hasn't played since bruising his ribs after crashing into the outfield wall in Minnesota last Saturday.

Hamilton's average, .361, is the highest in baseball.
