The Los Angeles Dodgers announced today that they have signed All-Star second baseman Jeff Kent to a one-year contract extension with an option for 2008, according to Dodger General Manager Ned Colletti. "Jeff is the consummate professional and someday he's going to find himself in the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown," said Colletti. "I feel fortunate that we were able to come to this agreement to keep him in a Dodger uniform for at least the next two seasons and hopefully more."
