Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki has reportedly spoken to team management about Bobby Valentine becoming their next manager.

"One Mariners person says Ichiro has talked to ownership about hiring Bobby Valentine, Suzuki's preference," Peter Gammons wrote on his Twitter page Monday.
