Red Sox right-handed pitching prospect Casey Kelly has struggled mightily for the Portland Sea Dogs of the Double-A Eastern League.

Kelly is 3-5 with a 5.31 ERA in 21 starts this season. Opposing hitters are teeing off on him, with a batting average of .307.

His struggles have actually intensified over the last 10 games.

Kelly is 2-2 with a 5.92 ERA in 51 2/3 innings-pitched. He has a 2.44 K/BB ratio, but hitters have a .318 average.

The Red Sox drafted Kelly with the 30th overall pick in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft.
