Derrek Lee was asked on Saturday if he regretted his decision to veto a trade to the Angels in light of Chicago's struggles. "It's two separate issues," Lee replied. "It's no fun. We're not playing well right now, just a lot of losses. Even when you feel like you play a really good game, you end up losing it. It's tough. "But what do you do? You keep grinding. Hopefully we can turn it around and finish the season up strong." The Cubs were eight games under .500 when Lee vetoed the trade and they are now 19 games under. "First of all, when I made the decision, we weren't playing this bad," he said. "I just separate it. I don't look at it like, 'Oh, I made the decision to stay, I wish I hadn't.' I made the decision, and that's over with, and this is something else."
