 More Rays NewsThe Rays promoted Rocco Baldelli to Triple-A Durham on Friday. The Rays could add Baldelli by the Aug. 31 deadline to make him eligible for the postseason. "I'll stick with the program," Baldelli said in an interview with The Tampa Tribune last Saturday. "After that, I don't know what's next." Baldelli hit .283 in 12 games with the Class A Charlotte Stone Crabs of the Florida State League. He was 3-for-4 in Thursday's 8-6 win over Fort Myers and played in back-to-back games for the first time this week. He said his legs are no longer the issue they were in 2008. "I'm not going to do anything that might impact me getting on the field the following day," he said. |
